Child & Family Services is excited to introduce the two newest members of the Agency’s Senior Leadership team! Please welcome the new Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer, Yvonne Dubois, and the new Chief Human Resources Officer, Rachel Haseley.
“It’s like I’m coming home,” said Yvonne. Between her time as a social worker and, most recently, as the Director of Family and Community Engagement at Tapestry Charter School, Yvonne had previously worked at C&FS as an administrative assistant. “I’ve always wanted to work for Child & Family Services. When I was younger, my family received social work services. Social workers ensured that there were no possibilities that were off the table for me.”
One of the most important duties that Yvonne sees in her position is to ensure that all C&FS and Stanley G. Falk employees feel confident they will have the opportunity to achieve their goals. “I want to make sure that everyone feels seen, heard, and loved,” Yvonne explained. “Employees flourish when someone stands up and advocates for them.”
When she’s not at work, Yvonne loves to travel with her eight-year-old son. A lover of animals, Yvonne has three cats, two turtles, a snake, a bearded dragon, five hermit crabs, and fish. “I have been known to have a snack bag of cat treats in my purse to feed street cats,” laughed Yvonne.
Though she only has one dog, Rachel brings over 10 years of experience in Human Resources to her new role as Chief Human Resources Officer. Most of her career has been in the not-for-profit sector. “I think the work is so much more rewarding working at a community-based nonprofit, which shows in higher levels of job satisfaction,” said Rachel. “The culture is just more positive. I view the staff as my clients. It feels good to help the people who serve the clients one-on-one.”
Rachel said she already had a great impression of the Agency before she even knew about the job opening. She had used C&FS’ Employee Assistance Program in previous jobs and worked on grant projects with C&FS during her time at the Center for Elder Law and Justice. “I’ve always had such wonderful experiences with the C&FS staff,” said Rachel. “I admire what C&FS has been able to do, including the Agency’s growth over the past several years. I’m excited to make my mark.”
Keeping active is important for Rachel; she particularly enjoys riding her Peloton and going for hikes with her husband and two children. She also describes her family as a big sports household. “My son plays football, and my husband is the coach, so it’s all football all day,” Rachel exclaimed. “Of course, we love the Buffalo Bills!”
Welcome Yvonne and Rachel to the Child & Family Services team!
