Child & Family Services’ Board of Directors announced today that Elizabeth McPartland has been chosen as the Agency’s next President and Chief Executive Officer. McPartland, who currently serves as the Agency’s Chief Operating Officer, will succeed Francisco M. Vasquez, Ph.D. on March 30, 2020.
“After a thorough and comprehensive executive search process, conducted by Catapult a search firm located in Buffalo, N.Y., the Board of Directors is pleased to have found the best individual to assume the leadership of this 147-year-old organization,” said John Rodgers, Board Chair. “Elizabeth’s over 20 years of industry experience combined with her passion for providing the best outcomes for children and families in our community will pave the way for a bright and successful future for Child & Family Services and the Stanley G. Falk School.”
McPartland was selected from a pool of extremely qualified candidates. Her commitment to the community and social impact is extensive. She serves on the New York State Regional Planning Consortium (Western Region) Board of Directors, Chairing the Children’s Sub-Committee. In addition, she participates in Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s Executive Exchange. McPartland is a member of the New York State Coalition for the Children’s Behavioral Health Board of Directors.
McPartland volunteers her time in the community with the Theatre of Youth Company serving as President on the Board of Directors. She was also past Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committees. McPartland volunteered at Dreams from the Heart Summer Camp, St. Joseph University Parish and Compeer Buffalo.
In addition, McPartland is a recipient of Buffalo Business First’s 612’ C-Level Executive Award and 40 Under 40 Honoree. She also received the University at Buffalo’s School of Management Alumni Association Educational Grant. McPartland holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Social Work from University at Buffalo. She resides in Amherst with her husband Kevin and their two sons.
