The new school year at Stanley G. Falk started with more than just pencils and notebooks. There was music, energy and a whole lot of excitement. To welcome students back, the Falk-Roosevelt campus hosted a special performance from DJ Milk, the official DJ of the Buffalo Bills, along with DJ YES.

From the moment the music started, the DJs had students on their feet and ready to celebrate. Beach balls sailed into the audience, bouncing high above the crowd and some lucky students got to keep them as souvenirs. A few even had theirs signed by the DJs.

Of course, no Buffalo celebration would be complete without the Bills’ famous “Shout” song, played not once, but three times. The fun kept going as teachers joined in on the Cha Cha slide, and students danced together to the YMCA.

While the event was full of laughter and dancing, it was also accompanied by words of encouragement. DJ Milk reminded students that they have the power to make the school year great.

“Be incredible, be exceptional and don’t forget, you are all so incredibly special,” said DJ Milk to the crowd.

Students also had the chance to share what they were most excited about for the school year. Some said they were happy to see their friends again, others looked forward to field trips and a few shared their hopes for the Buffalo Bills to win the Super Bowl.

It was a perfect “Victory Monday” celebration that brought students and staff together, set a positive tone and reminded everyone that this school year is full of new possibilities.
