At Falk School’s – Rossler campus, students rolled up their sleeves and worked together for a meaningful cause.

Over the course of three days, students hosted a car wash open to all Falk staff and faculty. Organized by one of Falk’s teachers, Mrs. Pepe, the event was more than just a way to make vehicles shine; it was an opportunity for students to work side by side, build stronger peer connections and support their school community.

The idea sparked from something Mrs. Pepe had seen in the community. “I witnessed other organizations like Scouts and Little League teams doing car washes to fundraise and thought it would be a great opportunity for our students,” she shared.

At just $7.00 per car, staff lined up to get their vehicles cleaned while cheering on the students behind the sponges and hoses. Every wash brought a sense of accomplishment and unity.

“The goal was to teach students the importance of working collaboratively in group settings,” said Mrs. Pepe. “And what we saw was incredible. They learned to rely on each other, communicate and get the job done.”

As cars drove off with a clean look to them, there was a strong sense of unison among the students. They began recognizing each other’s strengths and showing a willingness to pitch in, help out and lift one another up.

All proceeds from the event will help fund Falk’s end-of-year Field Day, giving students a chance to celebrate their hard work and have fun as a team.
