For Our Adults
Our parents and guardians often go without in order to provide for the children in their care. Therefore they request everyday items such as outdoor winter wear, kitchenware, cleaning products, sheets, blankets, slippers, towels, bathrobes, inclusive hair care products, body care products, home décor, home and snow maintenance items, etc.
For Our Teens and Preteens
Our teenagers can be much harder to buy for as their wish lists lean towards gift cards, clothing, bedroom décor, school supplies, uniform clothing*, art supplies, craft kits, inclusive beauty supplies, Robux, etc.
For Our Littles
Ranging from babies-on-the-way to pre-teens, children are the most-often adopted individuals through Adopt-a-Family. But we always have need for additional items such as diapers, wipes, onesies, clothing, shoes, winter coats, boots, hats, mittens, scarves, uniform clothing*, kid-themed twin and full sheet sets, bedroom décor, blankets, bath products, hair products, etc. Kids always love to receive board games and educational toys that they can enjoy with their whole family!
Gifts for All!
Let’s face it – Buffalo is going strong and everyone has Bills and Sabres fever this winter! Branded clothing, toys, home décor, ball caps, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. are very popular requests at every age!
Board games are also a big hit for those looking for more things to do together as a family. Holiday gift wrap and accessories are also wonderful.
Please refrain from sending in any gifts or gift wrap that is religious or shows weaponry as we cannot give these to our families. Thank you for your consideration!
HOW TO SEND IN YOUR GIFTS + GIFT CARDS
Please mail gift cards or have items delivered to: Child and Family Services, Attn: Adopt-a-Family, 844 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14209. Please assure your name and address are included so we are able to thank you and send a tax receipt! Items received prior to our Workshop opens (December 5th) are ideal, but we accept both through December 14th.
*Many of our children attend Stanley G. Falk Schools, which requires a uniform. These pieces (any sizes from child extra small/5T to Adult XXL) are always in need, even after Adopt-a-Family closes its doors for the season.
They include:
– Khaki (tan) or navy dress pants, shorts, capris or skirts/skorts
– Navy or white sweaters or hoodless sweatshirts/fleeces
– Navy or white polos or dress shirts (long or short sleeved)
