Four years ago, Sabrina* and Charles* welcomed one-year-old twin brothers Noah* and Liam* into their home through the C+FS Foster Care program. From day one, they knew they were committing to a journey that would require patience, perseverance and love.
From the time they were born, Noah and Liam faced significant medical challenges. Caring for them meant countless doctor’s appointments, surgeries and extended hospital stays, sometimes requiring months at a time away from home. It was a life-changing commitment, but one Sabrina and Charles embraced wholeheartedly.
Today, that dedication is reflected in two energetic four-year-olds who are full of life. Noah and Liam love making music together and staying active. They also enjoy creating new memories as a family, especially during trips to Disney World.
“Sabrina and Charles didn’t just open their home to Noah and Liam,” shared Nicole Luko, Foster Care Program Manager. “They showed up for them through every appointment, setback and milestone.”
Last week, their adoption was finalized, officially making them a forever family.
“While reunification is always our first goal for families, adoption became the right next step for them,” said Nicole. “It was a beautiful continuation of the family they had already built together.”
For Noah and Liam, family extends beyond the walls of one home. They continue to spend time with their siblings, who are in another foster home, as both families remain committed to keeping those important relationships strong.
Every foster care journey is unique, and while adoption is not always the outcome, Noah and Liam’s story is a reminder of the lasting difference foster families can make.
