Over the past several weeks, the Residential Program team helped to celebrate an incredible season of educational milestones with children in our care. From elementary school moving-up celebrations to middle school promotions, each event marked an important step forward in a child’s educational journey.

While each ceremony celebrated academic achievement, it also highlighted the meaningful relationships children have built with the team that supports them.

For many of the children in the Residential Program, family involvement during these moments is limited or absent. Understanding how important it is for every child to have someone cheering them on, residential team members made sure they never celebrated alone. Child Care Treatment Aides, therapists, supervisors, administrators and other staff members filled auditoriums and classrooms to applaud every achievement and celebrate alongside them.

“These milestones represent far more than advancing to the next grade,” shared Dana Delaney, Director of Residential Treatment. “For many children, they symbolize resilience, determination and the confidence that comes from having caring adults who believe in their potential.”

Whether taking photos after a ceremony, sharing words of encouragement or simply showing up, staff created memories children will carry with them long after the school year has ended. The smiles, hugs and proud tears shared during these celebrations reflected the strong connections built through trust and support.

Now that the school year has come to a close and summer is in full swing, the celebrations continue. To recognize their accomplishments and welcome the start of summer, a picnic was held for the children, their families and staff. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together, strengthen connections and reflect on a school year filled with growth and support.
