When you walk into our Tri-Main Office, you’re greeted with a warm smile. Behind that smile is Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Community Mediation Center Office Manager, Angelina Castro.

Over the last 15 years, Angelina’s dedication to helping others has shaped many parts of our Agency. She began her journey in Human Resources, transitioned to the Stanley G. Falk School, and ultimately found her home in our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). While her roles evolved, her purpose never changed – to serve others.

Angelina comes from a long line of individuals committed to uplifting their communities. Her grandmother founded the Puerto Rican Community Center in Buffalo, dedicating her life to serving her community and culture. She also credits her parents for inspiring her mindset.

“Their love has always taught me to love people and look for the good in them, no matter who they are,” Angelina reflected. “This lesson is what makes it so easy to help my community.”

That foundation continues to guide her every day. As a primary touchpoint for many individuals seeking support, Angelina understands that sometimes the smallest moments matter most. There are days when she senses that a client just needs a little more patience and kindness.

“Angelina is the heart of our program,” shared Megan Andrews, Director of EAP. “She consistently brings commitment and compassion to the people we serve.”

The lessons Angelina has learned throughout her career also shape her life at home. Just as previous generations in her family inspired Angelina, she instills those same values in her daughter. This includes how her identity influences her work.

“As a multi-cultured, brown-skinned woman with a heart for service, I hope my presence helps bridge gaps and foster understanding among all people,” she said.

For Angelina, service is not simply something she does. It is who she is, woven through generations before her and carried forward in the lives she touches each day. C+FS is grateful for the impact Angelina has made and continues to make.
