This Thanksgiving season, generosity from our community helped bring comfort and holiday joy to the children and families we serve across C+FS.
At Haven House, our partners at the Live Greater Foundation continued their annual tradition of donating Thanksgiving meals for survivors of domestic violence. Their support ensured that families and individuals spending the holiday in shelter could enjoy a warm meal and experience a moment of positivity during a challenging time.
Our Residential Program also received an incredible gift from Ingram Micro, whose donation of Thanksgiving meals helped make the holiday feel special for the children and families we assist.
“Ingram Micro is honored to provide meals for families across Western New York,” shared Kaely Kwitek, Partner Planning Consultant at Ingram Micro. “This associate led initiative is a heartfelt tradition our teams look forward to each year, as we come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in our community.”
Carrying that same spirit of community, leading up to Thanksgiving, our Residential Program hosted a Friendsgiving celebration. Children and families had the opportunity to come together and share dinner, play games and reflect on what they’re grateful for this year.
“This year’s Friendsgiving celebration brought together youth, families and staff for an evening of connection and warmth,” shared Dana Delaney, Director of Residential Treatment. “It was a meaningful opportunity to strengthen relationships and honor the resilience of the children and families who joined us.”
From warm meals to moments of togetherness, these acts show how a caring support system can brighten the holidays. We are deeply grateful for our partners, community members and C+FS employees who help make this season special for those we serve.
