The back-to-school season is always filled with excitement, and thanks to the generosity of two corporate partners, the children we serve are starting this year with the tools and confidence they need to succeed.

National Fuel’s FemaleFuel hosted a supply drive that provided backpacks and school supplies for Haven House, showing their deep commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence and their families. At the same time, Cannon Heyman & Weiss carried on their tradition of hosting an annual backpack drive for C+FS, collecting brand-new supplies and backpacks for children in our Foster Care and Wraparound programs.

“FemaleFuel is proud to support Haven House,” shared FemaleFuel co-chairs, Laura Berloth and Landry Willard. “Contributing school supplies was a meaningful way for our members to help foster a positive start to the school year for survivors.”

Cara E. Mitchell, Admin Coordinator at Cannon Heyman & Weiss, reflected on their annual C+FS backpack drive.

“It has become one of our firm’s most looked-forward to community-driven events,” shared Cara. “There’s something special about knowing that each backpack collected helped to brighten a child’s day.”

Both organizations share a passion for making sure the children feel prepared and supported, and their generosity is helping to create a smoother, more confident start to the school year for so many families.
